Perform CPRCourse DetailsThe “Perform CPR – Online” course is an online version of Red Cross’ highly regarded “Perform CPR” course. The course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council 2006 guidelines. The course can be conducted as a standalone course, or to gain CPR certification. To gain your Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency from the Health Training Package, HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR, once you have successfully completed the online course and quiz, you will be able to contact Red Cross to book a CPR competency assessment with a Trainer at a Red Cross location.
Course Content
PrerequisitesThere are no prerequisites for this course. Current industry standard is for this course to be updated every 12 months. Assessment MethodAssessment (if required) is at a Red Cross training location around Australia. It assesses practical skills through student demonstration. Course DurationThe online training component takes a little over an hour. Once registered, students have access to the course content for 12 months. The practical assessment (if required) takes half an hour. CertificationOn successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency from the Health Training Package, HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR.
